Question 1

What makes the Milano duvet special?

Accepted Answer

The Milano duvet stands out with its exclusive satin cover in 100% cotton satin (Ne80/80) and musk down with an exceptional fill power of 725. Fill power measures the down's ability to expand and trap warm air — the higher the fill power, the better the insulation and airiness. The satin cover provides a silky-soft feel like being wrapped in a cloud.

Question 2

What does fill power 725 mean?

Accepted Answer

Fill power 725 measures the down's ability to expand after compression. It means 1 gram of down fills 725 cubic centimetres. The higher the fill power, the better the duvet insulates with less weight. 725 is a very high fill power for musk down and places the Milano in the premium segment.

Question 3

What is the difference between cotton cambric and cotton satin?

Accepted Answer

Cotton cambric (Ne40/40) is a durable, tightly woven fabric with a matte surface — used in the Amsterdam duvet. Cotton satin (Ne80/80) is twice as finely woven, has a silky-smooth surface, and feels markedly softer against the skin. Ne80/80 denotes a very fine thread thickness that gives Milano its characteristic luxury feel.

Question 4

Is the Milano duvet suitable for allergy sufferers?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Milano duvet is certified allergy-friendly with Nomite certification, guaranteeing that dust mites cannot penetrate the cover. It also has OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 (free from 100+ harmful chemicals) and Downafresh (hygiene guarantee for the down filling). Wash at 60°C to eliminate any allergens.

Question 5

How do I wash and care for the Milano duvet?

Accepted Answer

Wash the Milano duvet at 60°C on a gentle cycle at least 4 times per year. Always tumble dry with tennis balls to restore the down's loft. Shake the duvet daily. Air it regularly in fresh air but avoid direct sunlight. The satin cover is durable and retains its silky-soft finish even after many washes.

Question 6

Can the Milano duvet be used all year round?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the Milano is an all-year duvet. The 90% Class 1 musk down with fill power 725 naturally regulates your body temperature. On cold nights, the down expands and traps more warm air; on warm nights, it compresses and releases heat. You get optimal comfort in all four seasons.

Question 7

What is the 6x8 cassette construction in the Milano duvet?

Accepted Answer

The Milano duvet has 48 individual cassettes (6x8) that keep the down filling perfectly distributed. Each cassette functions as a separate insulating chamber, preventing cold spots and ensuring consistent warmth across the entire duvet. The construction maintains its shape throughout the duvet's lifetime.

Question 8

What certifications does the Milano duvet have?

Accepted Answer

The Milano duvet has three independent certifications: OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 (tested for over 100 harmful substances), Nomite (allergy-friendly — dust mites cannot penetrate), and Downafresh (guarantees hygienic cleanliness of all down). All certifications are verified annually.

Question 9

Where is the Milano duvet made?

Accepted Answer

The Milano duvet is made in Denmark with 90% European musk down. Danish production ensures compliance with strict European quality standards, animal welfare requirements, and environmental regulations. All materials are traceable to their European origin.

Question 10

What is the warranty on the Milano duvet?

Accepted Answer

The Milano duvet has a 5-year warranty covering manufacturing defects, down filling, and stitching integrity. With proper care — washing at 60°C, tumble drying, and daily shaking — the down's fill power and the satin cover's quality can be maintained for many years beyond the warranty.
